Edit an existing user using User Manager

You can edit an existing user to change their name or other personal and connection information, as well as to change the roles and groups the user is associated with.

Before you begin

Before editing users, ensure all the role and groups you need to assign the users to have already been configured.

About this task

Procedure

  1. Open the User Manager window
  2. Click the lock manager icon Lock button.
  3. In the Users panel, select the user name.

    Expand the locations if necessary to find the user.

  4. In the User Personal Information panel, edit the fields as appropriate.
  5. In the User Connection Information panel, edit the fields as appropriate.
  6. In the Roles panel, select or deselect roles as appropriate.
  7. In the Groups panel, select or deselect groups as appropriate.
  8. Click check in manager icon Check In Document to commit your changes.
  9. Inform users of the changes and ask them to close and reopen their CCMS Desktop to apply the changes. Additionally, have an administrator refresh IXIA CCMS Web so that users see the change reflected there.
