Choosing the CCMS Desktop localization model
There are two localization models for CCMS Desktop: the sequential localization model and the concurrent localization model. They have different workflows and each offers different advantages and disadvantages.
Warning: Once a localization model is in use, switching localization models can be
a complicated process. Before switching, contact IXIA CCMS Customer Support to discuss the
issue.
After enabling localization for CCMS Desktop, the essential next step is to decide which localization model to use. There are two available:
- Sequential: Each time you localize an object, the new copy replaces the previous translation. You can have only one version of an object in Localization at a time.
- Concurrent: Each revision of an object creates a new copy of the object in Localization enabling you to have multiple versions of an object in Localization at a time.
For details about both models, see Comparison of the two CCMS Desktop localization models.
