Break the lock on a configuration file

If there is more than one System Administrator in your organization, it's possible that another Admin might have left a file locked after working on it. If you need to make changes, you must first break the other Admin's lock.

About this task

Breaking the lock on a file erases any changes that were in progress. These changes are not recoverable.

Procedure

  1. In the TEXTML Administration perspective, connect to your server.
  2. Locate the locked configuration file.
  3. Right-click the file and select Break Lock.
  4. On the Delete Confirmation dialog, click Yes.
  5. Right-click the server name and select Refresh. After a few seconds the small lock icon for the file disappears.
