After you create a role, the next step is to associate a role with the document
types it works with.
Procedure

Open the Role Manager window.

Click the
Lock button.

In the Roles list, select the role to
configure.
The document types assigned to the selected role, if any, are displayed
under Document type.

Right-click in the Document type list and select
New Type:

Select one of the available document types.

Repeat steps 4
and 5 to associate
additional document types.

To associate any additional roles with related document types, repeat from Step
3.

To save your changes locally, press Ctrl+S.

You can now associate roles with time lines. If you do not want to
perform this step right away, click
Check In Document to commit your
changes.

Inform users of the changes and ask them to close and reopen their CCMS Desktop to apply the changes. Additionally, have an
administrator refresh IXIA CCMS Web so that users see the
change reflected there.
Results
The roles are associated with the document types you specified.
