Translation Manifest view

The Translation Manifest view enables you to see a snapshot of the content that was sent for translation. It does not change throughout the course of a project.

The Translation Manifest view displays the map and its dependencies as they were at the time the Translation Manifest was created. It points to the revisions of all those objects that were active at the time.

This view uses the standard datagrid found throughout CCMS Web. As in any datagrid, you can add, remove, reorder, sort, or filter grid columns. You can create a custom view and export the datagrid contents.

Translation Manifests are in the same language as the language of their source map. If the source map is in English, the Translation Manifest language is also English.

You can only edit the title and description of a Translation Manifest. If you need to make other changes, such as adding or removing a language, you must create a new Translation Manifest. See Localize a map in CCMS Web.

To work with actual translated content in a Translation Manifest, open the associated Language Manifest for that language. See Language Manifest view.

Translation Manifests and Language Manifests are visually similar. To determine which you are looking at, check the Page field in the Translation Manifest view. If it reads "Snapshot Map - Revision n" or something similar (anything other than a language code), you are looking at a Translation Manifest.

The Details side panel always displays information about the Translation Manifest, even if a Language Manifest is currently in view.

The Translation Manifest view includes the following columns.

Title

Object's title at time of snapshot, such as Tools

Original status

Object's status at time of snapshot, such as Authoring:done

Type

Object's type, such as task

Original revision

Object's revision number at time of snapshot, which appends to the filename, such as 2

ID

Object's identifier, such as abc0123456789012

Filename

Object's filename, followed by a semicolon and its revision number, such as abc0123456789012.dita;2

Filepath

Object's filepath, such as /content/authoring/abc0123456789012.dita
