Change the status of a Translation Manifest
Changing the status of a Translation Manifest is the best way to keep track of where it is within your translation workflow, but there are some considerations and restrictions on the change
About this task
Translation Manifests are initially created at Translation:new
. From
there, all status changes are manual.
Status changes can be from the top down or from the bottom up. From the top down, you change the status of the Translation Manifest and it automatically changes the status of the Language Manifests and child content objects (if possible). From the bottom up, you change the status of the child content objects and then change the status of the Language Manifest and finally the status of the Translation Manifest. Both approaches are equally valid; it simply depends on your workflow and preferences.
Within possible status changes, there are a few things to remember:
- To move a Translation Manifest to
Translation:done
, all child content objects in all associated Language Manifests must be at least atTranslation:in review
. This is because, if the content objects are not at least at this status, they do not yet exist within CCMS Web. - To move a Translation Manifest to
Translation:cancelled
, all child Language Manifests must have a status other thanTranslation:done
.
