Uninstall a docbase

Uninstalling a docbase removes it from the TEXTML Server Administration Console. This procedure is a prerequisite for tasks such as docbase defragmentation.

To uninstall a docbase:

  1. Open the Administration Console and connect to the server.
  2. Expand the server node to display its docbases.
  3. Right-click the docbase and select Uninstall from the menu.
    The Uninstall Document Base dialog box appears.

    CAUTION:
    Do NOT select the Delete the document base files checkbox, or you will delete all the document files in the docbase.
  4. Click Yes.
The docbase is removed from the TEXTML Admin view and deactivated on the server.
Note: This step can take a few minutes for large docbases.
