Organize topic and map templates
You can create subfolders within the topic and map template folders to better organize a large number of templates.
About this task
By default, topic templates are stored in the system configuration in system/templates/topics and map template are stored in system/templates/maps. In CCMS Desktop, this creates a flat list of templates that users see when they are creating new content.
If you have lot of templates, you can add subfolders to system/templates/topics system/templates/maps to better organize the templates by team, product, or any other criteria.
The folder you create within system/templates/topics and system/templates/maps is the same folder structure that users see when they create a new topic or map.
There is no limit to the number of folder levels you can create but the more levels there are, the more complex it will be for users to navigate to and select the template they need.
Procedure
- Open the TEXTML Administration perspective and connect to the server.
- Browse to /system/templates/topics or system/templates/maps.
- Right-click the topics or maps folder and select Create Collection.
- Enter a name for the collection and click OK.
