SSO impacts on on-premise user connections
If Single Sign-On (SSO) is implemented in an on-premise deployment of IXIA CCMS, logging into the company's identity provider also automatically signs users in to CCMS Web.
Impact on CCMS Web
Scenario | Required action |
---|---|
Logged in to company's identity provider | None, once you go to the URL for CCMS Web. Sign in is automatic and takes you to the My Assignments page. |
Not logged in to company's identity provider | Click a link that enables you to log in to CCMS Web using your company's identity provider. |
Without SSO, when you go to the URL for CCMS Web, you must sign in.
Impact on CCMS Desktop
Connections to CCMS Desktop are not affected by SSO. Users connect in the usual manner.
Impact on the users.xml file
Regardless of whether or not SSO is implemented, you must add all users to the users.xml file in the IXIA CCMS configuration.
