Add an Oxygen XML Editor's document type

You can store Oxygen XML Editor's document type or framework extensions in the Content Store so that they automatically exist in Oxygen XML Editor's Preferences at IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop startup.

Document types, or framework extensions, modify the behavior of the Oxygen XML Editor.

Important: Make configuration changes in a test environment and confirm they work before copying them to a production environment. For dedicated SaaS deployments, test the changes and then ask IXIASOFT Customer Support to copy the changes to your production environment.
Remember: If you make changes to your specializations, update your frameworks as needed.

To add an Oxygen XML Editor's document type:

  1. In the TEXTML Administration perspective, connect to your server.
  2. Locate the /system/oxygen_cfg/frameworks collection. If it does not exist, create it:
    1. Right-click the system folder and click Create Collection.
    2. In the Add Collection dialog box, type oxygen_cfg/frameworks.
    3. Click OK.
  3. Right-click the frameworks collection and click Insert Documents.
  4. Click Add Folder and click the folder containing your Oxygen framework extension.
  5. Under Set Options, do the following:
    • Select the Add checkbox.
    • Clear the Replace and Indexable checkboxes.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Inform users of the changes and request that they close and reopen their CCMS Desktop to apply the changes.
An Oxygen XML Editor's document type, or framework extension, is added.
