DTDs and other system documents
Each docbase contains several system documents in addition to its user documents.
Table 1 provides details on the system documents.
Restriction: The names of system documents are unique identifiers and as such cannot be
changed. A docbase cannot have more than one copy of a system document.

| DATETIME_FORMATS.XML | Defines date and time formats and patterns. For details, see Date and time formats and patterns. |
| INDEXDEFINITION.DTD | Defines the required structure for the XML elements and attributes used in index definitions. |
| INDEXDEFINITION.XML | The index definitions used for queries run on the current docbase. For details, see Creating and managing index definitions. |
| REQUEST_DOCUMENTDATA.DTD | Defines the required XML structure for document properties queries. |
| REQUEST_DOCUMENTDATA_ RESULTS.DTD | Defines information provided in results lists for document property queries. |
| SEARCH_DOCUMENTS.DTD | Defines the required XML structure for document queries. For details, see Document queries and operators. |
| SEARCH_INDEX.DTD | Defines the required XML structure for indexed values queries. For details, see Indexed values queries. |
| SEARCH_INDEXRESULT.DTD | Defines the information provided in results lists for indexed values queries. |
| SEARCH_RESULTINFO.DTD | Defines the information provided in results lists for document queries. |
| SEARCH_SORT.DTD | Defines the ordering rules for lists of values returned in a search. |
| SUBSTITUTIONS_LISTS.XML | The list of accented characters that can also be written with non-accented characters, used to create alternative renderings of words in the index. This list means that someone running a search on (for example) the German term bürgermeister would also locate variations of the word such as buergermeister (and vice-versa). |
| TEXTMLSERVER_COLLECTION_ PROPERTIES.DTD | Defines the required XML structure for the TEXTML Server Administration Console Properties tab when a collection is selected. |
