Methods of backing up the Content Store

IXIASOFT TEXTML Server supports multiple methods for backing up the docbase.

The options include:

Using a file backup agent to create a full copy of a live docbase
Using a volume snapshot of where the docbase resides, either through the OS (Shadow Copy, LVM Snapshot) or the storage layer (SAN)
Using a local replicated docbase.

Note: The docbase cannot be backed up by directly copying the files in the data directory while the TEXTML service is running.
