DNS aliases for servers

IXIASOFT recommends creating DNS aliases for the servers hosting components of IXIASOFT CCMS component to simplify connection information.

Aliases allow you to migrate components to a different server, if necessary, without requiring users to change connection information.

For example, if you move components from server1.corp.domain.com to server2.corp.domain.com, users must change connection information. If you make an alias such as ccms-dev.domain.com, the server can change without affecting connection information.
