Merge several cells within a table

This procedure lets you merge several table cells.

1. Place your cursor in the cell you want to move.
2. Right-click and then select Table > Merge Cells...
   Note: This action is also available from the menu bar as XML Document > Table > Merge Cells...
   The Merge Cells dialog appears.
3. Select the row or column movement that applies:
   • Merge cell up
   • Merge cell down
   • Merge cell left
   • Merge cell right
4. Click Merge.
   Tip: You can keep the dialog open and merge the cells as many times as required.
5. Click Close when you are finished.
