Configure the incremental localization process for CCMS Web

The CCMS Web incremental localization process allows you to start the localization process before all objects have an Authoring:done or your equivalent status.

Procedure

  1. In the TEXTML Administration perspective, connect to your server.
  2. Check out and open the /system/conf/accessrights.xml in a text editor.

You can also use Access Manager to make these changes. Configure access rights using Access Manager .

  3. Edit the LocalizeCCMS access right to define the statuses at which maps and snapshots can be localized.

In other words, specify at which statuses the Localize menu option is available for a map. If you want the option to be available for maps and snapshots at any status, use the * wildcard.

  4. Edit the LocalizeCCMS_api access right to define for which statuses each object is set toTo be translated at the time it goes to the Translation cycle.

Objects at the statuses you define here are set to To be translated in the Language Manifests you create. Objects at any other statuses are set to Not ready in the Language Manifests. Objects at Not ready are excluded from localization kits that you create.

Note: The To be translated and Not ready statuses are virtual statuses; they are not defined in the system configuration.
  5. Save, close, and check in the file.
  6. Inform users of the changes.
The changes are automatically applied once users close and then reopen their CCMS Desktop. Users can also apply the changes without restarting their CCMS Desktop by clicking IXIA CCMS > Synchronize Configuration. Additionally, refresh IXIA CCMS Web so that users see the change reflected there.
