(Windows) Install TEXTML Server

You can install IXIA TEXTML Server on Windows.

To install TEXTML Server:

  1. Double-click the following downloaded executable to run the installation:
    SetupTextmlServerx64-<version>.exe
  2. Click I Agree to accept the license agreement.
  3. In the Choose Components window, deselect all components, and then select only the following components:
    • Client Files
    • TextmlServer
    • Administration Console
  4. Click Next.
  5. In the Choose Install Location window, specify the path where to install TEXTML Server or keep the default path, and then click Install.
    C:\Program Files\IxiaSoft\TextmlServer44
  6. Click Close when the installation completes.

    • The installation files are placed under %ProgramFiles%\IxiaSoft\TextmlServer44 or according to the path specified during the installation.

    • The Textml Server version x.x service is created.

    • The configuration files are placed under %ProgramData%\IxiaSoft\TextmlServer44.
      Note: By default, the ProgramData directory is hidden from view for users. If it is not visible on your system, activate Show hidden files and folders within your Control Panel.
  7. Repeat the entire procedure for each computer in your TEXTML Server architecture.
