Be your own root CA

You can be your own root CA.

You must complete three discrete tasks to be your own root CA.

1. Create a root certificate. This determines that you are a valid authority and are allowed to sign certificates. See Create a root certificate.
2. Create a Certificate Signing Request. See Create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR).
3. Sign the certificate yourself. See Sign the CA.
