Synchronize configuration files

To apply the latest configuration changes made to the Content Store, users must synchronize the configuration files.

Each time a user connects to a server and a Content Store, their individual configuration files are synchronized with the master configuration files in the Content Store's repository. However, if an administrator makes changes to the configuration while users are connected to the Content Store, users must synchronize their configuration manually to work with the most up-to-date settings.

To synchronize configuration files:

Depending on whether you are using IXIA CCMS or IXIA CCMS Web, take the following actions:
  • From within the CCMS menu bar, select IXIA CCMS > Synchronize Configuration.
  • For someone with Administration privileges within CCMS Web, Administration > Refresh
Your local configuration files are synchronized with those in the Content Store's repository.

Tip: Within IXIA CCMS Desktop, you can also synchronize by clicking the toolbar Synchronize Configuration button Sync system files or by restarting the client.
