Modify the import.properties file

You can modify the import properties file to allow an import of topics without predefined keys.

A topic does not necessarily have predefined keys associated with it. This presents a challenge when you want to import topics to IXIA CCMS, so requires you to modify the import.properties file.

To modify the import.properties file:

  1. In the TEXTML Administration perspective, connect to your server.
  2. Locate the import.properties file in the repository's /system/conf collection.
  3. Right-click the file and select Check Out. Open the file in a text editor.
  4. Add the following: 
    NOT_VALIDATE_KEY=true
  5. Save, close, and check in the import.properties file.
  6. Inform users of the changes.
    The changes are automatically applied once users close and then reopen their IXIA CCMS Desktop. Users can also apply the changes without restarting their CCMS Desktop by clicking IXIA CCMS > Synchronize Configuration.
The import.properties file contains the changes you made so that you can import topics without predefined keys.
