Roles for maintaining a dedicated SaaS deployment
The maintenance tasks required to keep the components running smoothly may fall under the responsibility of one or more individuals in your enterprise.
The typical roles are:
- Administrator: This role mainly involves configuring
and managing IXIA CCMS, as well as coordinating
and testing upgrades.
It may include responsibilities such as handling the content architecture and modeling.
- Toolsmith: This role involves handling the
scripting, XSLT, and CSS needs of the group. It often involves customizing outputs,
such as PDF or HTML.
Some enterprises do not have the Toolsmith role and request output changes from MadCap Software.
Since each enterprise functions differently, many people may share the same role or one person may have many roles.
Typically, your IT team is not required because MadCap Software handles security, upgrades, maintenance of servers and systems, and so on.
