Delete your annotation

With the Collaborative Review (CR) feature, you can delete any annotation you added as long as no one else has replied. Once another user replies to your annotation, your annotation is locked and you cannot delete it.

Only the user who added an annotation or reply can delete it. You cannot delete another user's annotations or replies. All replies to an annotation are locked except for the most recent reply to preserve the comment history and content.

To delete your annotation:

  1. Find your annotation in the Annotations side panel, or hover over the highlighted text in the topic.
    As you hover, the Annotations pop-up appears.
  2. In either the Annotations pop-up or Annotations side panel, click Trash icon.
    A warning message appears asking if you want to delete your annotation.
  3. Click Delete.

Your annotation is deleted from the topic and the Annotations side panel. If it was a reply to another annotation, the other annotation remains.
