Open an object in the Translation cycle

You can open objects that are in the Translation cycle, but you must first select a language manifest or you will not find the related objects for that language.

For translated content, the language manifest is the context, not the context map.

Important: Once you submit content for translation, you cannot work directly with those objects. Rather, use only the translation and language manifests as the hub for your activity and select the translation manifest as context before you edit an object. Any other search for content results in a No context error notification.

To open an object in the Translation cycle:

  1. Click , select the related language or languages from the Languages section, and then select the language manifest from the Object Types section under Translation Manifests.
  2. From the resulting list, click a language manifest to open it.
  3. (Optional) If you choose more than one language, in the Page field, click the drop-down and then select a single language.
  4. Select and open an object from the resulting list in the grid.
Note: To open an object, it must be have a Translation:in review or Translation:done status.
The object opens.
