The translation manifest and its language manifests
A translation manifest acts as a dashboard for managing the translation process and provides you with ready access to the map and the objects within the map.
Each translation manifest represents the content objects at the point in time when the Translation Manifest was created. It takes a snapshot of the map and its dependencies. The result for each language is a Language Manifest that is identified by its language code, such as fr-fr or for the French language, and localized to France.
The Translation Manifest is a fixed entity, since, as a snapshot of the objects in Authoring, its content is set at the time you create it and the information does not change or update. However, every Language Manifest dynamically updates the progress and status of each object within it as it moves through the defined workflow.
If the content in Authoring updates, you should create a new translation manifest to represent the new state of the content. You should manage the translation manifest as you would a project.
