Dedicated SaaS deployment of IXIA CCMS Web

In a dedicated SaaS deployment of IXIA CCMS, IXIA CCMS Web can be deployed either with or without Single Sign-On (SSO). Either deployment impacts how you sign in.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

If Single Sign-On (SSO) is implemented, signing into your company's identity provider automatically signs you in to CCMS Web.

When you go to the URL for CCMS Web, one of the following occurs:

  • If you are already signed in to your company's identity provider, you automatically sign in to CCMS Web and see the My Assignments page.
  • If you are not signed in to your company's identity provider, you can click a button that enables you to sign in to CCMS Web using your company's identity provider.

Credentials for CCMS Web are managed by your company's identity provider. For any user who also uses CCMS Desktop, that user will have two passwords:

  • One for CCMS Desktop
  • One for CCMS Web

Without Single Sign-On (SSO)

Without SSO, when you go to the URL for CCMS Web, you sign in using your MadCap Software-specific password.

Without SSO, MadCap Software manages all credentials for CCMS Web and CCMS Desktop in remote desktop.
