Check in an object

When you are done editing, you must check in the image, topic, or map so that the changes can be saved and other users can make changes.

Other users cannot edit an object while you have it checked-out.

To check in an object:

  1. Find the object you want to check in.
    If you are not already in an editor (such as Map Editor or Topic Editor), you can use Search or sorting actions on the My Assignments page to help.
  2. To check in the object, click either Check in or Check in icon.
    Check in appears in editors such as Topic Editor.

    You can click Check in icon for the object anywhere you see it, such as the My Assignments page or your Favorites side panel.

The object is checked in and becomes unlocked. Your changes are saved online to the repository, where others can see and access them.
