Restoring search defaults

You can restore parameters in the Search view to their defaults. You can restore the search defaults for panels individually or for all panels at once.

If you have set your own defaults, this quickly restores them. If you have not configured your own defaults, the system default settings will be applied.

To restore the default search parameters:

  1. Open the DITA perspective.
  2. Open the Search view.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To restore defaults for a particular panel, expand the panel and click the Restore Defaults button (search restore defaults button).
    • To restore defaults for all panels, click the New Query button (Search New Query icon).
    The targeted panel or panels are reset to their default parameters.
