Adding a map template
A map template determines the structure of the map object created when a user creates a map. A map template consists of a DITA map source file, and a short description of what the map should be used for.
This feature is designed to provide the structure for a particular document type. For example, if your team produces a User Guide, you can map out the structure for that document here, which may include such things as an introduction, list of features, procedures, and anything else typical for your User Guides. It can then be selected and "filled in" with appropriate content by writers and SMEs, or for more specific map additions by an Information Architect.
