Insert comment

Use this procedure to insert an XML comment into the current document.

Tip: It's best to insert a comment in Tags on mode, since you won't be able to see the text you enter in this element if you're in Normal viewing mode.
  1. Open your topic in the XMetaL editor.
  2. Then, either:
    • Press CTRL+I.
    • On the Insertion toolbar, click the Insert Comment button (comment icon).
    • From the menu bar, select XML Document > Insert > Comment.
An empty comment tag is inserted into your document.
Enter comments as required.
