Insert related links into a topic in the XMetaL editor

You can insert a related link using a simple right-click operation.

Referenced topics must be in the Authoring or Published cycle (or its equivalent in your workflow).

The related link element lets you put a series of links to related topics into the current topic.

  1. Place the cursor anywhere in the topic.
  2. Use Search to display topics in the Search Results view.
  3. Right-click the topic you want to reference, then select XMetaL Editor > Insert as Related Link from the menu.
    The topic title appears in the Related Links section, with the link created. If there is no Related Links section, XMetaL creates one.
  4. Optional: Insert additional links as needed.
