Tracking the progress of a translation project

Because it's critical to understand how a translation project is progressing—how many topics and images are translated, how many are still outstanding—both the Translation Manifest and Localization Manifest show you the completion percentages at a glance.

When you view a Translation Manifest, there is a new General Progression page available, from the Page dropdown menu:

This page displays all the Language Manifests within the Translation Manifest, with a simple progress bar for each:

You can open each Language Manifest from this page or perform the actions in the Actions column.

When you open a Language Manifest, the same overall progress bar appears as well as an Object Types dial and an Object Status dial.

The Object Types dial shows the distribution of object types in the Language Manifest. The Object Status dial shows the distribution of objects at various statuses within the Language Manifest.

Both dials are clickable; clicking an object type or a status applies corresponding filters to the datagrid. (Identical to the dials on the My Assignments page, for example.)

How is progress calculated?

The "In Progress" calculation is x / y where:

x = the number of objects in the map at in review and done. Objects at do not translate are not included.

y = the number of objects in the map excluding those at do not translate. If a map has 100 objects and 10 of them are at do not translate, then y = 90, not 100.

In the screenshot above, there are 49 total objects. 1 is at done and 24 are at in review. Therefore the calculation is 25 / 49, or .51, thus 51%.

Calculations do not round up or down. Only the first two digits to the right of the decimal are used. Therefore, .51245 and .51873 would both be rendered simply as 51%.
