Deleting objects in Translation
You can delete objects in Translation, including Translation Manifests, Language Manifests, and individual maps, topics, and images. You must do so using a "top down" approach.
The most common use case for deleting in Translation is to get rid of Translation Manifests and Language Manifests that represent earlier "rounds" of translation. For example, if you use incremental localization, you might generate multiple Translation and Language Manifests to send content as it is finalized. At the end of the documentation cycle, when everything is translated, you only need the last Translation Manifest and Language Manifests. You can delete the previous ones to keep your list clean.
To delete a Translation Manifest, you only need to delete it, because it has no parents. To delete a Language Manifest, you must first delete its parent Translation Manifest, then delete the Language Manifest.
Note that you can delete a Language Manifest but leave the map it previously referenced. Without a Language Manifest, you can no longer edit or generate output for the map, since those functions rely on the Language Manifest to resolve references. If the map is referenced by other Language Manifests, you can continue to use those for editing and output context.
You can delete individual content objects as well but that requires additional steps. You must first delete the object's parents, starting at the top of the dependency chain (that is, the parent Translation Manifest) and working down through the Language Manifest, the map, and the topic.
As in Authoring, if there are any parent dependencies that block the deletion, the CCMS does not allow you to delete the object.
Use the Delete option of the More menu to delete an object in Translation.
