Add an existing image to a topic

You can search the images already uploaded to IXIA CCMS Web for inserting within a topic.

About this task

Procedure

  1. Check out the topic.
  2. Within Topic Editor, click Insert image icon.

    The Insert image dialog appears.

  3. In the Search field, enter the name or description of the image you want.
  4. Click the Status chip and select the statuses you want to include from the dropdown list.

The list currently includes all statuses for all objects, not just image statuses.

  5. Click the Image Type chip and select the types of images you want to include from the dropdown list.
  6. Click the Context chip and select the product or library, and branches you want to include from the dropdown list.

Only the product/library and branch of the context map (and linked branches) are available.

Note: Be aware of a scenario like the following: the topic is shared between branches v1 and v2. While editing the topic using a context map in v1, you insert an image that is only in v1. Later, you edit the same topic using a context map in v2. The image you originally inserted is not visible. To avoid scenarios like this, consider revising your DRM structure to store images in more widely available shared libraries.
  7. Click Search.
  8. From the results, choose the image you want.

The results dialog is available in two views. Click to see the grid view. Click to see the list view. The list view uses the standard datagrid, where you can add, remove, or reorder columns as needed,. You can also create a custom view, and sort and filter the results. These actions are not available in the grid view.

You can also run a new search from the results dialog if necessary or upload a new image.

  9. Do one of the following:
    • In the grid view, click the radio button on the appropriate image card to insert it.
    • In the list view, click the radio button on the right side of the grid row of the appropriate image to insert it.
The image is inserted in the topic at the selected location.
