Using branched content in CCMS Web
In CCMS Web, you can edit objects that have been branched in IXIA CCMS Desktop.
In a Standard (non-DRM) system, you can use branching to create new, editable versions of a published map. When you branch a published map in CCMS Desktop, a copy of the map is created in Authoring with a branch tag preceding the object title. This branched map initially continues to reference published objects. You can then branch individual objects in the map to create objects in Authoring that you can edit and work with as usual.
To fully work with a branched map in CCMS Web, you must branch each child dependency of the map. Create a process for branching all published content to make Authoring objects available to CCMS Web.
Note: You can branch objects only in CCMS Desktop. The Branch feature is
not available in CCMS Web.
