Using the Image Editor

Image Editor shows all the image formats for an image object and the image metadata. Use Image Editor to edit images.

Images always open in Image Editor in a read-only mode first unless you already have the image checked out. To edit an image, check it out by either clicking Edit or Edit icon.

Open Image Editor by either clicking Edit while in Image Preview or clicking Edit icon while in Search or the My Assignments page.

You can edit any of the following for an image while in Image Editor:

  • Change the name of the image
  • Change the image type
  • Change the image description
  • Delete different versions of an image
  • Edit existing versions of an image
  • Upload new versions of an image
Note: You create new images by uploading and adding them to topics in Topic Editor. Once created, you edit and update them through Image Editor.
