Add IXIA TEXTML Server as a user

To give IXIA TEXTML Server permissions to the high-level docbase folder, you must add it as a user on the host machine.

About this task

By default, LOCAL SERVICE is the identity for TEXTML Server and Metaservices components during TEXTML Server installation. However, if your deployment TEXTML Server is running in a cluster or forest, you must run TEXTML Server as another user that is listed in the Group or user names box. If it is not in that list, you must add it.

To add TEXTML Server as a user:

Procedure

  1. Right-click the high-level directory for the docbases and select Properties.
  2. Select the Security tab.

  5. In the Enter the object names to select box, type the username and click Check Names.
In the field, the username is underlined, such as LOCAL SERVICE.
