Create a map

You create new maps to structure any new content. Create a map as your first step to structure a new document that organizes topics for the best content flow.

About this task

Your user privileges dictate whether or not you have the ability to create maps.

To create a new map:

Procedure

  1. Click Main Menu icon, and select New Object > New Map.
    The New Map page opens.
  2. In the Title field, enter a descriptive name for the new map and click Next.
  3. From the dropdown list, select a language and click Next.
  4. Choose a map template
  5. Click Next.
  6. Select a Product or Library.
    You can use the Search to find one.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select a Branch.
  9. Click Create.

Results

A new map is created with the name and parameters that you set.
