Context maps
A context map provides the necessary location for related keys that are used to resolve any references in a topic. A topic without a context map may appear to have broken references. If you open and map and then open topics from within the map, the context map is already there for you. If you search for and open a topic on its own, you need to select a context map that aligns with the content and context for your current task. See Designate a context map
Context maps provide a topic with the necessary information to reference other content within the system, such as conrefs and xrefs.
If a topic is in multiple maps, you can choose a map to designate as its context map when you edit the topic. In some cases, you can select or change the context map set for a topic using the Details panel in Topic Editor. See Designate a context map.
