Set a service to delayed start (Windows)

If you need to improve the boot time for the server, you can delay the automatic start of some IXIA CCMS components in Windows.

Note: This procedure applies only in on-premise deployments.

You can delay the start of some IXIA CCMS components, such as TEXTML Server, CCMS Output Generator, and CCMS Scheduler) on the Windows server where they are installed.

To set a service to delayed start:

  1. On the Windows server where the service is installed, click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools.
  2. Double-click Services.
    The Services dialog opens.
  3. Double-click the name of the service in the list of services.
  4. From the Startup type dropdown list, select Automatic (Delayed Start).
  5. Click Apply.

    The Startup Type column changes to Automatic (Delayed Start) for the service.

  6. Click OK.
    The identified service is set for a delayed start.
