Branched content in CCMS Web
In IXIA CCMS Web, you can edit objects that have been branched in IXIA CCMS Desktop.
You can use branching to create new, editable versions of a published map. When you branch a published map in CCMS Desktop, a copy of the map is created in status Work. You can then branch objects in the map to create copies that you can edit. Editing these copies does not affect the original, published content.
Reuse of published content
When you first branch a map, it reuses all the published objects. You replace these published objects with editable copies to edit the content. You cannot edit published objects.
Branch tags
When a map is branched, a tag is created for the branch. Any objects in the map that are branched get the same tag. The tag appears near the object title in most pages and views.
