How can I update my schematron or frameworks in IXIA CCMS Desktop?
For files that are already deployed in your framework, you can import your updates in TEXTML admin perspective.
Description
Most customers develop updates in the standalone version of Oxygen installed on their computers. The updates are then deployed to all users using TEXTML from within the Oxygen framework.
For example, your framework files are in a folder called <company-name>. If your framework is stored in the location system/oxygen_cfg/frameworks/<company-name>, any updates to these files are automatically applied to all users in IXIA CCMS Desktop.
If your Oxygen framework contains schematron files, you can change existing schematron files without needing to upload the entire framework again. You can edit just the schematron files that need to be updated.
For example, your framework contains an existing schematron file: system/oxygen_cfg/frameworks/dita/schematron/<company-name>-rules.sch. To make changes, you can update the <company-name>-rules.sch file.
Solution
.
- Develop and test your Oxygen or schematron changes in the standalone version of Oxygen before testing them in IXIA CCMS.
- In the TEXTML admin perspective, import the changes to the test
server at system/oxygen_cfg/frameworks/dita/schematron.Note: You should always make these configuration changes in the Test environment. Do not make these changes on your Production environment until you test them fully.
- To pick up any changes, users need to restart IXIA CCMS Desktop.
- Promote the changes to your Production environment.Note: In a dedicated SaaS deployment, open an OTRS with Madcap Software Support to have the changes promoted to the Production environment.
