Examples for finding object dependencies

You can use the Dependencies view to investigate the dependencies of objects in many different scenarios. This section gives a few examples for how you could use it.

Find all maps using a topic	Determine if a topic is referenced by a map. For topics, the Referenced by dependency type includes topics directly added to a map and also includes when a map references a topic through a related link. Use one of the following locations to examine the dependencies: Dependencies view Favorites side panel Map Editor in Structure view My Assignments Revision History Search Topic Editor	Select the topic and click . Select Dependencies.
Find all objects using a specific language that was localized with the CCMS Web.	Use the following location to examine the dependencies for the related translation manifest or language manifest to examine its dependencies: Dependencies view Favorites side panel My Assignments Revision History Search Topic Editor Image Editor	Select the map and click . Select Dependencies. Note: There are two related sections in Dependencies view: Localized from and Localized to, and each are different, based on the object's respective source and target localized using CCMS Web. See Dependencies view.
Find all topics using an image	Use one of the following locations to examine the dependencies: Dependencies view Favorites side panel My Assignments Revision History Search Image Editor	Select the image and click . Select Dependencies. Click Referenced by. Click the Topics button.
Find all Collaborative Reviews made from a map	Use one of the following locations to examine the dependencies: Dependencies view Favorites side panel Map Editor My Assignments Revision History Search	Select the map and click . Select Dependencies. Click Approvals / Collaborative Reviews. Click Collaborative Reviews. Note: You can also look for all Approvals by clicking Approvals.
Determine if a topic links to a topic in a different map	Use one of the following locations to examine the dependencies: Favorites side panel Map Editor in Structure view My Assignments Revision History Search Topic Editor Note: If none of the listed maps are the same as the map that includes the first topic, then the two topics are in different maps.	Select the map and click . Select Dependencies. Click Referenced by. Click the Maps button. Click the Topics button. Find the topic you want to examine, and click . Click Referenced by. Click the Maps button.
