Libraries
- The majority of your content should be in a library that is referenced by a product instead of directly in a product. A product is just an aggregator, a specialized library at the top level.
- Don't create bidirectional links across libraries.
- Linking is always top down. For example, a level 2 library can't reference a level 1 library but a level 1 library can reference a level 2 library.
- Use the Library Dependency Editor to update the library version used by a product or by another library.
- Multi-level libraries allow you to break your content into smaller sections.
For example,
- Top level: content unique to a specific product
- Second level: content shared between specific products
- Third level: content shared between all products
