Managing dictionaries

IXIASOFT CCMS provides standard dictionaries to spell check your documents.

Additional language or dialect dictionaries can be obtained and integrated within the CCMS.

While you cannot add words to or delete words from the CCMS standard dictionaries, you can create a custom dictionary. Custom dictionaries let you define terms that are not in the standard dictionaries but that are used in your company's documentation, such as product names, API function names, technical terms, etc. There is one custom dictionary per language. When you spell check a topic or a map, both the standard and the custom dictionaries are used.

It is also possible to configure the spell checker to automatically skip text—such as code—that occurs between specified DITA XML elements.
