Insert a related link

You can insert related links at the end of a topic to direct end users to other topics with useful information.

You must check out the topic.

Note: As a best practice, IXIASOFT recommends using a relationship table (reltable) to manage related links. You can use it to dynamically create the related links when generating the output, which saves adding related links in each topic manually.

To insert a related link to another topic:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Link icon and select Related Link to Topic.
    • Right-click in the topic and select Link > Related Link to Topic
  2. Find the topic that you want to link to using Search.
  3. From the search results, click either the title or the radio button for the topic.
    You can click the title of the topic to see a preview before you link to it.
  4. Click Insert.
