Where is the eclipse.ini on MacOS?

On MacOS, the eclipse.ini file is hidden inside the Eclipse.app bundle.

When installing IXIASOFT CCMS on MacOS, you need to configure the vmargs in the eclipse.ini file but the file is hidden.

Solution

The eclipse.ini file is contained inside the Eclipse.app bundle. To edit the file, you first need to expand the bundle.

  1. Right-click on Eclipse.app.
  2. Click Show Package Contents. The eclipse.ini file is located in the Contents/MacOS folder.
