How can I get rid of unnecessary menus cluttering my perspective?
You can customize the perspective to improve its usability. In the main menu, click Window and click Customize Perspective.
Symptom
The perspective contains many menus and buttons that are never used. It impedes the usability of the interface.
Problem
The standard IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop perspective contains menus offered by the Eclipse IDE that may be of little or no use. This can make the interface seem overwhelming with too many choices of menus and toolbars–many of which have nothing to do with the tasks you want to accomplish.
Solution
Simplify the perspective. You can create a customized perspective which not only allows you to hide these unnecessary menus from the interface, but can also allow you to choose which toolbars, menus, command groups, and shortcuts you want to show or hide.
Customize your perspective
- From the menu bar, select .
- Tool Bar Visibility: Choose to show or hide a tool bar or its available buttons. Click the tab containing the menu, button, command group, or shortcut that you want to show or hide:

- Shortcuts: Choose to show or hide a shortcut or group of related shortcuts from a submenu.

- Click OK when you are done.
WARNING: Do NOT remove the Window menu. This is the entry point to the Customize Perspective dialog.
