Navigating a CR using the TOC side panel
You can use the table of contents (TOC) side panel to quickly navigate a Collaborative Review (CR), or to see which topics have annotations or need review.
When you first open a CR, the TOC might be hidden. You can open and navigate the TOC using the following options:
Button | Description |
---|---|
Opens the TOC if it is closed | |
Collapses all topics in the map | |
Expands all topics in the map | |
Downloads a PDF copy of the content. If it is dimmed, a PDF version is not available. | |
Closes the side panel for the TOC |
The CR's TOC does several things:
- Enables you to click a topic to go directly to that topic within the body of the CR
- Shows you where in the CR you are
- Shows you which topics have annotations
- Indicates which topics need review
When you click the title of a topic to go directly that topic, the topic title is highlighted in the TOC. However, if you then manually scroll through the body of the CR, the title highlighting in the TOC does not move accordingly.
Annotation indicator
- In the TOC, an orange dot indicates a topic that has an annotation with either the Unresolved or Accepted status
- In unexpanded topics, the orange dot indicates a topic within the group has annotations. As you expand the topic, the dot moves to the topic with annotations.
- In expanded topics, the dot indicates a sub-topic has annotations
Review indicator
The TOC also indicates which topics need reviewing, based on the statuses selected when the CR was created.
In the following example, most titles are gray but a few are black. The black titles are the ones that require review
The numbers beside the titles indicate how many topics in the section need review. For example, the Physical Description topic itself does not need review, but there are three sub-topics that do need review. Expand the top-level topic to see them:
