Create a snapshot

You can create a snapshot of a map at any status as long as the map is not locked. The snapshot records all the current information for the map at the moment that the snapshot is created.

1. For the map that you want, click .
2. Select New Snapshot.
3. Optional: In the Title field, change the title.
4. Optional: In the Description field, enter a description for the snapshot.
   Important: You cannot edit the snapshot later to add a description or change the title.
5. Click Create.
   Note: If there are any objects in the map that link to objects outside of the map, the Create snapshot dialog appears. It lists all the objects that will have broken links.

   To ignore the broken links and create the snapshot, click Continue.
