Create a map with stub topics

There are situations where you know topics will be required within a map but do not yet know what they will be called. In this case, you can create a map with empty topics, known as stub topics.

Before you begin

You can create a map with topic stubs only if your deployment has a template for it. Contact your administrator if to add the stub topic template to the default configuration.

Note: You cannot insert topic stubs in existing maps.

To create a map with stub topics:

Procedure

  1. Click Main Menu icon, and select New Object > New Map.
    The New Map page opens.
  2. In the Title field, enter a descriptive name for the new map and click Next.
  3. From the dropdown list, select a language and click Next.
