Replace the existing Content Store
If you can stop IXIA TEXTML Server, you can replace the Content Store files with copies from your backup without needing to uninstall the existing Content Store.
About this task
Remember: TEXTML Server must be granted permissions to the
high-level directory (for example, the docbases
directory) and its subdirectories.
To replace the existing Content Store:
Procedure
-
Stop IXIA TEXTML Server.
Note: This step can take a few minutes for a very large Content Store.
-
Delete all the files related to the Content Store being replaced.
For example, if the existing Content Store was in C:\docbases\TEXTML4.4\Prod (Windows) or /docbases/TEXTML4.4/Prod (Linux), then you would delete all the files in the Prod folder.
-
Copy all the Content Store files (data files
and log facility) from the backup and paste them into the Content Store folder.
Note: Use copy and paste instead of drag and drop to move the files to ensure data integrity.Important: If the backup was generated as a snapshot, ensure the files are writable.
- Restart IXIA TEXTML Server.
-
Click the TEXTML Administration shortcut on the toolbar
to open the TEXTML Administration perspective or take the following
actions:
- Select Window > Perspective > Open Perspective > Other
- Click TEXTML Administration.
- Click Open.
- In the TEXTML Administration view, double-click the server.
-

- In the TEXTML Administration view, right-click and select Add Server.
-
In the Server field, enter the server
name.
The Port field fills automatically. If it does not and you need the port number, you can find it in the same place as the server name in the Preferences window.
- Click OK.
-
To find the server name, click Window > Preferences and select IXIA CCMS.
- When the Connect as dialog opens, type your username and password and click OK.
